Joint winners of the 2017 prize, announced at the ASMI conference in December, were Sarah Culhane, formerly of the University of Bristol, for her essay ‘Locating the audience within the pages of a fan magazine: the audience-star relation as told through Hollywood (1945–1953)’, and Glauco Schettini, of Fordham University, for his essay 'Building the Third Rome: The New District in Prati di Castello, 1870–95'. The deadline for submissions for the 2018 prize is 31 July.
